Dr. Rhonda has been providing dental care in our area since 2012, when she and her husband moved here from Minnesota. She is passionate about getting to know her patient’s wants and needs to provide the best dental experience possible. She frequently attends continuing education courses to improve her skills, and is constantly learning new techniques.
Since moving to Port Lavaca, Dr. Rhonda has immersed herself in the community, serving as an ambassador for the Port Lavaca Chamber of Commerce, treasurer for the Rotary club, campaign chair and board member of the United Way, and member of the Board of Managers for Memorial Medical Center.
She graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, and spent her first 6 years as a dentist with Midwest Dental in Minnesota. Her dedication to serving veterans stems from serving 23 years in the Army National Guard where she was deployed twice to Iraq.
Dr. Rhonda is currently president of the Guadalupe Valley District Dental Society, member of the American Legion, the VFW, the TX Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
Donna has been working as a dental hygienist in Calhoun County for 20 years. She was born, raised, and lives in Victoria County, but has strong family ties to Calhoun. She attended Victoria College and graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at Bee County College in Beeville. She enjoys her job as a hygienist very much and particularly likes helping people with periodontitis save their teeth. Her hobbies include listening to live Texas music with her husband, hanging out with her family, and going to Big Bend and other state and national parks.
Nina has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 2015. She joined Dr. Nielsen's team in 2019. Nina enjoys making patients feel comfortable and helping them understand their dental treatment so they can leave our office feeling confident about their dental needs. Nina was born and raised in Calhoun County. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Dale has 20 plus years experience as a dental hygienist. She attended Wharton County Junior College and has a Associates in Applied Science in Dental hygiene. Dale has worked primarily in general practice and has treated patients of all ages. She joined Dr. Nielsen's team in January 2021. Dale strives to make her patients feel comfortable while helping them maintain their dental health. Dale enjoys camping and spending time with her growing family.
